Fiber Optic Cable-Laying Micro Trenching

We have developed a very advanced method to achieve a stable balance between fiber optic infrastructure cable laying speed, quality, durability and scalability which is fiber optic cable-laying micro trenching.
The method we developed is based on our Nextec diamond grooving machine, which is a microgrooving version. Traditional micro-grooving is a great technology with many benefits in terms of speed and capacity, but those using this technology still have many disadvantages. It causes a lot of disruption to the treated road and is difficult to restore. We took the same business method and turned it into something with the same benefits and more without the known disadvantages of traditional microchanneling. Instead of using a wheel with teeth, we use a diamond blade to grind the material and spin it at over 1000 rpm. The method distributes a large number of single channels (24 7 mm channels) to the channel floor, with a production capacity of 1-1.5 m/min cutting from the road bottom as well as the top layer.
The methods and machines are the result of our experience and cooperation with our R&D department.
The method consists of:
- Traditional cable/infrastructure research.
- Investigation of cable and infrastructure depth with radar
- Diamond grooving and grooving installation
- Filling for duct closure
- Permanent restoration of the road surface

Compared to traditional digging methods, Nextec diamond trenching is quite fast. The machine cuts up to 380mm deep and 28mm wide.
Nextec’s docking methodology and channel size allow traffic to run smoothly and on open channels without interruption. This results in fully functional traffic conditions while production continues.
The method allows the crew to fill in all the trenches dug during their working shift.
